Our Story

Edmonds Toy Shop was established in 1981 through the Edmonds Food Bank and is hosted in partnership with Edmonds United Methodist Church. Through the years the program has evolved to meet the needs of over 1000 children in the Edmonds area, and has utilized over 200+ volunteers each year for the annual in-person gifting event.

Our event is held annually in December during the holiday season. We recognize that while many of our families celebrate Christmas, not all do. We strive to continue to be more inclusive and to grow in learning more about the traditions of all families.

Our event is possible through the generous support of many organizations in our local area, from the Rotary Club, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, youth groups, and local businesses, to our involved community members. Edmonds Toy Shop relies heavily on community support.

This year COVID-19 continues to impact us all. We are excited to return to an in-person shopping event in 2022, but like all things we are making necessary adjustments in order to best serve our community.

As our community needs grows, we look forward to partnering with more families, volunteers, and local organizations to truly make a meaningful impact.
